Copper thieves steal from chamber

Police are investigating the theft of copper gutters and down spouts from the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce building, according to a Conway police report.
The thefts occurred between 12:40 p.m. Sunday and 12:51 p.m. Monday at the building located at 203 Main St., the report showed.
About 140 feet of gutters and several down spouts all made of copper were reported missing, the report showed.
The Chamber offices are located beside the Conway Police Department.

Can you believe people are so damned stupid? They were even digging up fiber optic cables here thinking they were copper cables of some kind. Cops staked 'em out and got them with a backyard full of basically worthless cable. Buffoons!
